Sigma Chi is a very social Fraternity. We host many exchanges, invites, and other more informal events at our house as well as at prime venues around the city of Los Angeles.
Our formal is known as "Sweetheart Ball" and is held each year in Las Vegas at the Mandalay Bay Hotel. It is a weekend event that consists of the entire house and their dates busing to Vegas, where we spend time in the sun and enjoying the amazing Vegas night life.
Every year, the Trojan Football team plays at either Stanford or Cal. And every year, we make the trek up north for the game, along with the rest of USC. We usually rent an RV and caravan up to the Bay Area for a weekend of football and fun in San Francisco city.
The Father-son casino night is held annually early in the Spring semester at the Sigma Chi house. Professional dealers come in offering games such as Texas Hold 'Em, Black Jack, Roulette and Craps. After the games, there is an auction, a raffle and prizes are awarded to those with the most chips.
Each semester the brothers of the Fraternity partake in some fun outings meant to build the bonds of friendship. In the past these events have included river rafting trips, excursions to Big Bear Mountain, Pirate Adventures, Field of Dreams, Dodger games and the Hollywood Park Race Track among others.
Our most recent exchanges have been held with these USC sororities: Delta Gamma, Pi Beta Phi, Kappa Kappa Gamma and Kappa Alpha Theta. In addition to exchanges, we host at least one invite each semester.
